Easy vegan yogurt mango popsicles with just 2 ingredients for a sweet and fruity summer dessert/snack the entire family will love! Dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, and versatile with plenty of flavor variations (including options without dairy-free yogurt!)

Simple Healthy Vegan Yogurt Mango Popsicles (+ Flavor Variations)
Summer is officially here, and my freezer is filling up with refreshing fruity treats. Like watermelon popsicles, pineapple strawberry nice cream, strawberry yogurt popsicles, and these dairy-free yogurt mango popsicles. All of which are perfect for replacing my usual vegan ice-cream addiction with healthier, natural alternatives.
With just TWO base ingredients (mango and dairy-free yogurt) and 5 minutes of hands-on prep, these mango pops are super simple to prepare and wonderfully creamy, sweet, refreshing, summery, bursting with fresh mango flavor, and free-from tons of chemicals!
Thanks to fresh mango, these homemade mango popsicles are also packed with vitamin C, antioxidants, and plenty of other micronutrients to keep your body nourished. When combined with the plant-based yogurt of choice, these healthy popsicles will become a favorite family treat, loved by kids.
Adapting these healthy popsicles is also really simple. Following the same 'method' each time, it's practically effortless to swap around and play with new ingredient variations each time you make a batch. I've included just a few of my favorite options below, including vegan mango tajin popsicles and coconut mango popsicles, as well as options using fruit combinations and without vegan yogurt!
The Ingredients
This creamy mango popsicles recipe requires just TWO simple ingredients at its simplest!

- Mango: You can use fresh mango (I recommend Ataulfo mangoes over Tommy Atkins for superior flavor), canned mango puree (Indian Kesar pulp is delicious), or frozen mango (check FAQs for the method).
- Vegan yogurt: I recommend using a full-fat vegan vanilla yogurt OR plain vegan yogurt with your desired amount of vanilla extract and liquid sweetener (maple syrup, agave, or a sugar-free syrup).
What Else Could I add or Change?
Here are a few of my favorite ways to experiment with this mango popsicle recipe.
- Mango tajin popsicles: Make simple, spicy mangonada popsicles (with or without vegan yogurt) by adding tajin seasoning (and/or chamoy) to the mango mixture. Adjust the amount to taste.
- Cardamom: Just a tiny pinch added to the mango puree makes for more aromatic mango ice pops.
- Sweetener: If the mango isn't as sweet as you'd like, sweeten it to taste with maple syrup, agave, sugar-free syrup, etc.
- Without vegan yogurt: Omit the dairy-free yogurt entirely and add a small amount of coconut water, pineapple juice, orange juice, etc., along with the sweetener of your choice to make simple mango ice lollies.
As a bonus, lemon juice or lime juice's acidity can help keep homemade fruit popsicles softer and less 'icy.'
- Mango vegan cheesecake popsicles: Use a 1:1 ratio of vegan cream cheese and vegan yogurt.
- Coconut milk: Swap the vegan yogurt for canned coconut milk (full-fat or light) for simple mango coconut popsicles.
- Other fruits: Enjoy fruity combinations in these mango pops for extra flavor. My favorites include.
- Cherry mango popsicles
- Mango pineapple popsicles
- Strawberry mango popsicles
- Mango raspberry popsicles
- Mango guava popsicles
- Mango boba popsicles: Add a tablespoon (or two) of boba pearls to each popsicle mold similar to this strawberry milk tea.
How to Make Mango Popsicles?
This vegan yogurt mango popsicle recipe requires just four simple (and fuss-free) steps.
- 1) First, chop the mango into rough cubes.
How To Dice a Mango?
You can do this by peeling the mango first or scooping the flesh from the skin after. For the first, use a vegetable peeler to peel the mango (be careful, it's slippery!). Then slice off the 'cheeks' of the mango, either side of its seed, and chop down to size.
For the second version, slice away the cheeks IN the peel, then cut a cross-hatch pattern in the mango flesh (to the skin, but not through it). Next, press the peel forward to invert the mango slice, and use a knife or spoon to scrape the mango 'cubes' from the peel.

- 2) Then, transfer the mango chunks to your blender/food processor and blend until smooth.

Give it a taste once blended, and add liquid sweetener, if desired.
- 3) To assemble the mango popsicles, I alternated spoonfuls of mango puree and vegan yogurt into my popsicle molds, leaving a small amount of 'headspace' at the top for expansion.

Alternatively, blend the two ingredients and simply pour in the creamy mango mixture.
- 4) Insert the popsicle sticks carefully, then transfer the mango ice lollies to the freezer and freeze for 6-8 hours or until fully set.
FAQs
Mangoes are highly nutritious; an excellent source of vitamin C, copper, and folate. However, it also contains a further 9+ vitamins and minerals in smaller amounts, including Vitamins A, B6, E, and K, as well as potassium, magnesium, and riboflavin.
More so, it contains several healthy plant compounds that double up as antioxidants to protect the body from oxidative stress, AND it's reasonably low-calorie, too, at just 100kcal per cup - making for nutritious and delicious homemade popsicles.
Yes, but allow it to thaw first, drain excess liquid, and then follow the vegan yogurt mango popsicles recipe as normal.
You can make mango popsicles with canned coconut milk as the next best thing. Alternatively, use banana puree for creamy popsicles OR omit the dairy-free yogurt entirely for a refreshing fruit-based mango ice lolly.
Top Recipe Tips and Notes
- Adjust the texture: Blend the puree until smooth or slightly chunky, or keep some finely diced mango to one side to mix into the vegan yogurt for chunky bites of fruit.
- If you don't have molds: Use small paper or plastic cups, muffin liners in a tray, small yogurt pots, or a silicone XL ice-cube tray. You can use foil or plastic wrap to press the popsicle sticks into and hold them in place.
- Leave headspace: The mango popsicles will expand slightly upon freezing, so it's best to leave ½ inch of headspace at the top of the mold.
- Adjust the consistency: You can enjoy these dairy-free yogurt mango popsicles in layers, swirled, or fully blended based on the look, flavor, and consistency you'd prefer.
- Sweeten to taste: If your mango isn’t particularly sweet, adjust the sweetness to taste with your choice of liquid sweetener.
- If you have leftovers: Depending on the popsicle molds you use, there may be some filling leftover. I love to enjoy it as a healthy mango dairy-free yogurt bowl with granola and extra fresh fruit.

How To Remove Popsicles From Their Mold?
Allow the vegan yogurt mango pops to sit at room temperature for just a few minutes before trying to de-mold them. If you still have issues, run the mold under warm water for 20-30 seconds. Be careful not to get water IN the mold, or it'll melt them quickly.
Storage Instructions
You can store these homemade mango popsicles for between 1-2 months. However, to make the most of their shelf life, I recommend wrapping them individually in parchment paper and placing them in a Ziplock/Stasher bag or airtight container.
