Making delicious dinner rolls have never been so easy! In fact, this recipe will allow you to enjoy them without the constant kneading and time spent in the kitchen! They would be amazing with soups, stews, pasta, and salads. I also love having them for breakfast with my fave hot coffee or tea or using them to make sandwiches for snack time.
Ingredients You’ll Need
You will only need 5 ingredients to make this. The Rhodes Dinner rolls, vegan butter, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt. You can add or omit herbs and species as you prefer.
- Rhodes Dinner rolls - If you do not know where to buy these, check their online store locator to see the nearest store to grab them.
- Vegan Butter - I used unsalted vegan butter for this recipe. If you only have salted vegan butter, just omit the salt from the ingredient list.
- Italian seasoning - This is usually a mix of warm and earthy herbs like basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and marjoram. You can also just choose which among these herbs you like to add to your plant-based butter spread. You can try other herbs too like parsley, dill, and chives.
- Garlic powder - You can also use finely diced fresh garlic.
- Salt - To taste.
Possible Add-ons
- If you want to add a bit of punch to your rolls, a pinch of red chili flakes will do the trick nicely.
- Sprinkle a bit of grated vegan parmesan on them before serving to give them a 'cheesy' and savory kick.
Tips when Making Garlic Herb Dinner Rolls
- The measurement for the vegan garlic herb butter is for 6 rolls only. If you are making a dozen simply double the amount on the recipe card below.
- Using fresh garlic will give you a more pronounced flavor. So if you like your bread roll on the garlicky side, use finely chopped raw garlic.
- If the tops of the bread are browning too much, you can add a foil tent on top of the dinner rolls so it does not end up burned.
- If you cannot find Rhodes’ warm and serve products near you, you can use my 4-ingredient, quick, no-knead bread recipe instead.
Serving and Storage Notes
These Garlic Herb Dinner Rolls are best served straight off the oven when it is warm and 'buttery'! If you are making this ahead of time or are storing leftovers, you can place them in the fridge for up to three days. Just pop them back in the oven to warm them up before serving.
