Why You'll Love This Recipe
I've already shared recipes using my Ninja Creami for Ninja Creami vegan mango ice cream, Ninja Creami vegan strawberry ice cream, and Ninja Creami vegan mint chocolate chip ice cream. For those who prefer ultra-fruity sorbet, this refreshing Ninja Creami peach sorbet is perfection.
Made with just 2 ingredients (peaches and salt - added sugar is entirely optional!) and only a few minutes of hands-on prep, it's so simple it's barely a recipe. Plus, unlike many other recipes, I've included methods for fresh OR canned peaches. The result? Creamy sorbet bursting with peachy flavor (with no artificial colors or flavorings!), perfect for summer.

How to Flavor Peach Sorbet
The simplicity of this peach sorbet recipe means there's plenty of wiggle-room for experimentation, including:
- Citrus: A little lemon, orange, or lime juice (and zest) adds brightness.
- Juice: If the mixture doesn't reach the max fill line, optionally top it up with juice (peach, pineapple, apple, etc.).
- Herbs: Combine peaches with fresh mint leaves or basil for an aromatic twist.
- Fruit: Sub up to 50% with raspberries, strawberries, mango, or pineapple.
- Spices: Try a little ginger (fresh or powdered), cardamom, or chili/cayenne.
- Mix-ins: Add raspberry, strawberry, or peach jam/preserves, chopped nuts, toasted coconut, graham crackers, shortbread, candied ginger, etc.
How to Make Fresh Peach Sorbet (Ninja Creami)
Step 1: First, peel (with a vegetable peeler, or blanch - se FAQs) and roughly chop the peaches, removing the pits. Then, blend the peaches, sugar (if using), and salt in a blender until smooth.
Step 2: Transfer the mixture to the Ninja Creami pint container, ensuring it doesn't exceed the maximum fill line. Secure the lid and freeze flat for 24 hours.
Step 3: Remove the lid, insert the pint jar into the Ninja Creami, and lock it into place. Then process using the SORBET function. If the texture is too crumbly, select 'RE-SPIN', then either serve the peach sorbet immediately or re-freeze it briefly for a firmer texture. Enjoy!

If it's still crumbly, add 1 tablespoon of juice/ plant-based milk and Re-spin again.
To Make Peach Sorbet with Canned Peaches
Pour a 15.25 oz can of peaches in light or heavy syrup or juice - NOT WATER - into the pint jar. Freeze for 24 hours, and process using the SORBET setting.
It's simple, delicious, and allows you to enjoy peach sorbet year-round, even when peaches are out of season.
FAQs
The easiest method for peeling peaches is to blanch them. Score each peach with an X at the bottom, boil them for 30-45 seconds, immediately transfer to an ice bath until they're cool enough to handle, then simply peel from the X - it'll come right off.
Technically, no. Once blended and then processed in the Ninja Creami, they won't be noticeable, though the sorbet is darker, with little flecks.
Technically, yes, if thawed and drained, but they're usually less flavorful than fresh peaches. Organic peaches taste best, but are pricey.
Pro Recipe Tips
- Choosing fresh peaches: Use juicy, ripe (slightly overripe is even better), seasonal peaches for the best flavor.
- Adjust sugar amount: Based on the fruits' sweetness. Also, keep in mind that it loses some sweetness after freezing, AND more sugar = less icy sorbet.
- Don't overfill it: Don't exceed the maximum fill line, as it strains the blades/machine.
- Freeze properly: Ensure it's frozen flat and level, frozen for 24 hours.
- Re-spin if needed: If it's crumbly after the first spin, add a splash of juice or plant-based milk (1-2 tbsp) and 'RE-SPIN'. Repeat if needed.
Storage Instructions
Level the surface, add the lid, and freeze for 2-3 weeks. Before serving, let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes, then re-process using 'SORBET' setting.
Avoid transferring it to an alternative container, as it significantly decreases the shelf life AND makes re-processing harder.
