Recipe Variations

  • Apple cider: The unpasteurized stuff – it’s perfect in place of pineapple juice.
  • Pomegranate juice: Instead of cranberry juice or alongside the other juices.
  • Lemon/lime juice: Add a little at the end, to taste, for tart brightness.
  • Vanilla extract: A few drops give the cranberry orange punch warm depth.
  • Don’t like ginger? Use lemon/lime soda in this Thanksgiving drink recipe.
  • Decorations: Make this Thanksgiving drink a centerpiece with apple and/or orange slices, cinnamon sticks, fresh cranberries, and whole spices like star anise. You could also line the glass rims with red/orange sugar sprinkles.

How to Make Non Alcoholic Thanksgiving Punch

Step 1: In a large pitcher or a bowl, mix the cranberry juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, ginger ale, and cinnamon.

Step 2: Add 2 cups of cold sparkling water, mix carefully, then taste and add the remaining cup to adjust the sweetness amount. Serve the Thanksgiving punch optionally with ice and top the bowl or pitcher with orange slices, cinnamon stick/s, and/or cranberries. Enjoy!

How much punch should I make for a party?

I recommend making 2-3 6oz servings per guest. If it is a particularly long gathering, make extra.

  • For the best flavor: Use freshly squeezed juice. It’s definitely not necessary, but you can definitely taste the difference.
  • To adjust the sweetness: Add more/less sparkling water to the juice blend.
  • Prepare it ahead: (but only add the fizzy ingredients just before serving) To allow time for the flavors to mix and meld.
  • Use flavored ice: If you want to add ice but avoid diluting the Thanksgiving mixed drink, then try making ice cubes from the mixed juice.
  • To serve it warm: Use water instead of sparkling water and keep warm in a crockpot or a Dutch oven on the stove.

Storage Instructions

You can prepare this recipe for Thanksgiving punch ahead or store leftovers in an airtight container for 5-7 days. However, only add fizzy ingredients before serving. Otherwise, you’ll lose the fizz.

Ingredients
  

  • 20 ounces of cranberry juice
  • 11.5 ounces of orange juice
  • 1 ½ cups of pineapple juice
  • 1 cup of ginger ale
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 3 cups of cold sparkling water plus more to taste
  • Ice, to serve

Instructions
 

  • In a large pitcher or bowl, add the cranberry juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, ginger ale, and cinnamon. Mix well until the cinnamon is well incorporated.
  • Add 2 cups of the cold sparkling water and mix. Taste and add the remaining 1 cup to level down the sweetness levels. Add more water if needed.
  • Enjoy with ice or by itself.
