Dehydrator Apple Chips [+ Air Fryer| Cinnamon Apple Slices]
These cinnamon apple slices can be made into apple rings or crispy, crunchy dried apple chips with just 3 ingredients and two effortless methods! They're an an oil-free, paleo, and nutritious on-the-go snack that everyone can enjoy!
Thinly slice apples about ⅛-inch thick. It’s easier to do this if you have a mandoline.
Place slices in a large bowl with the water, lemon juice, lemon juice, and cinnamon, and toss until all the apple slices are evenly coated.
Line your apple slices in single layers on the trays of your Excalibur dehydrator.
Dehydrate at 125 degrees for 9 to 10 hours. Enjoy fresh out of the dehydrator, or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Drying time will vary: Based on the type of apple, the thickness of the slices, ambient temperature, and your dehydrator or air fryer model. It also varies on how crispy you aim for the cinnamon apple chips to be.
Allow them to cool completely: The dehydrated apples will continue to crisp up as they cool down from the dehydrator. For that reason, it’s best to allow them to cool before enjoying them.
The yield: On average, one medium apple will yield around 1oz (28g) of dried apple. However, this will vary.
